Fesi Shed Potters

17th August
Kpando – Fesi Shed Potters

Wishing for rain; it's so hot and muggy! And my skin! It was never this bad as a teen! Combination of sweat and sunblock I suppose.

We went to the Fesi Shed potters market, which is one of the Peace Corp projects. Met some American girls – Amber, who is on a two year stint, and Paulina and Kate, two weeks!

We couldn't make it to our next destination so booked ourselves a room here, and met the girls for a beer (or 3). What a great evening!

And we were introduced to "luga", which is like peanut brittle - yum! Twisted sticks of crushed peanuts (ground nuts) and sugar. Delicious! Now we can't find it again... bugger.... I want to take some home with me, how does that work? Do I have to declare it? As sweets??

Suddenly the rain started... always be careful what you wish for! It came gushing down, flooded the street in minutes. It did cool the air down nicely, and made a great vibe, huddled under the roof of the drinking spot as we were... time for a Facebook update.... and then a paddle in the muddy water in the street...
